At 20 years old, I finally accepted the fact that I don’t have to be the loudest person in the room to be opinionated. My thoughts and ideas are just as valid as anyone else’s. For years I struggled with low self-esteem, finding my purpose in life, and realizing my gifts and talents. However, as a naturally reserved person, I still felt a sense of power and confidence in my passion for writing. Now, I strive to make a positive impact in other people’s lives by doing what God has called me to do.
Best known for my doe eyes and calm spirit, I enjoy meeting new people, anticipating new films from M. Night Shyamalan, and watching Iyanla Vanzant videos on YouTube. A native of Lithonia, Georgia, I describe myself as a “real Georgia peach”. However, growing up with a Panamanian mom has allowed me to embrace cultural diversity at an early age and recognize my ethnicity with pride. Lastly, I try my best to live life with a “Romans 8:28” mindset. Therefore, despite moments of trials or setbacks in my life, I am assured that ALL things work together for the good of those who love the Lord.
