Note to Self

I had goals of becoming an entrepreneur before 2018 was over. I didn’t sell one thing that year.

When I wrote those goals, I had the idea that I would work super hard and have a successful small business in a matter of months. No problem, right?

I was eager to have the title as an entrepreneur, but I wasn’t prepared for the role. I doubted myself A LOT. I had a dream but no confidence. I had faith, but I didn’t do the work.

I needed to work on my relationship with God first. I had to learn how to fully put my trust in Him when starting something new and not depend on my own plan.

Just because something doesn’t happen according to your plans, doesn’t mean you have to give up on that goal.

It took two years for me to see any results for my goal. Working on this business goal in 2020 was actually perfect timing. In 2018, I didn’t have the finances to fund my business idea, but this year, God put me in a financial position to make an investment. I went from not receiving call backs from jobs, to being blessed with double and having two employment opportunities.

When God is making you wait for something, you’re being prepared for the best.

What if you knew you could have exactly what you wanted but it would take two years to get there? But, what if it wasn’t two years? What if it was five or ten years instead? This is where trust happens. God knows exactly what He’s doing and he will aways provide for you. I didn’t see how I could achieve my goal, but he made a way for me. He prepared me first before I actually started this journey.

God fulfills all of his promises. You just have to trust that He has complete control.
